SMSI has been following an upward support line for quite some time and has just touched up with the 50-day moving average. It got a big boost from an earnings surprise in February when it beat handily Expectations.
- Percentage price oscillator (PPO) — just below the signal line, poised to cross above
- Volume — jump after earnings on very heavy volume, tapering off sinced then during consolidation
Based on technical analysis, MarketEdge calls SMSI a "strong buy" in a "weak upward trend."

SMSI had a nice run-up after I bought, and the sell-off today triggered my stop-loss order, closing out the position with a nice profit.
