OSUR delivered an earnings Surprise in February that propelled it back above the previous resistance level around $5.50. After a new peak it retreated to the 50-day average and is now breaking above the last peak. The point & figure chart shows OSUR building a new column of Xs after a triple-top breakout in December.
- Percentage price oscillator (PPO) — crossed back above the signal line after the stock touched back with the 50-day moving average
- Volume — several above-normal up-days with few above-normal down-days
Based on technical analysis, MarketEdge calls OSUR a "hold" and notes "mildly deteriorating conditions" and that it is above resistance ($5.58) and is "overbought."

If Orasure is going to break above its current level, it's keeping it a well-hidden secret. Volumes have trickled off and momentum has slowed. I'm thinking it might actually pull back again before/if it advances farther.
