Buy
12-Sep-05. GTI has been climbing steadily since I bought a lot on 10-Aug-05. Price momentum (PPO) has picked up again after it passed the $6 level.
- Price momentum (PPO) — picking up after passing $6
- Trend (ADX) — has lost strength, but still above the threshhold, and buying pressure (+DI) is above selling pressure (-DI) albeit not by much
- Money flow (CMF) — picking up again
- Relative strength (RSI) — better than neutral
- Volume — breakthrough of $6 was with heavier than normal volume
Sell
-16% all lots
12-Oct-05. Held on too long. GTI began losing price momentum right after I added to my position. Other negatives soon appeared in the chart as well: selling pressure (-DI) crossed above buying pressure (+DI), cash flow (CMF) turned negative, relative strength (RSI) fell.
The penalty for ignoring all those signs is a loss instead of a nice profit on the first lot, had I sold when I should have.
