24-May-05. Will the third time be the charm? The first time I held IPAS I took a big loss when it got slammed. Then I tried to short IPAS and took a small loss when it went up.
Since getting slammed, IPAS has been gradually moving back up, and today surged on decent volume to regain its price level before the slam. This time I think the signs are more promising:
- Price momentum (PPO) — gathering steam steadily
- Trend (ADX) — buying pressure (+DI) increasing and has crossed above selling pressure (-DI)
- Money flow (CMF) — has gone from negative to nicely positive
- Relative strength (RSI) — increasing, and higher now than before the slam
But I bought only half a lot!
17-Jun-05. IPAS has been very much in the doldrums since I bought in. After giving back most of the breakout that attracted my attention, it has begun to climb back up. When it opened lower this morning but then quickly moved above yesterday's close, I took the opportunity to fill out a full lot. Price momentum (PPO), buying pressure (+DI), money flow (CMF), and relative strength (RSI) are all picking up.
Sell

9-Aug-05. IPAS reported earnings on 27-July and missed expectations. Since then, IPAS has been collapsing. My mistake was in not selling immediately. The downtrend that appeared to have been reversed is now in full force again.
