4-Feb-05. Centennial has been consolidating since reaching a new high in January. CYCL looks to be gathering steam for additional advances: relative strength (RSI) is increasing, price momentum (PPO) has picked up, money flow (CMF) is strongly positive, and it is about to break past the earlier high. It is now safely above the year-ago price (see sidebar).

8-Feb-05. When I saw that Centennial had taken another big jump today (for the third day in a row), I decided to put in a stop-loss order to protect profits, with the order to activate at $10.50.

Looking at the chart, I obviously set the activation too high, for CYCL still ended the day well up and on heavy volume. Also, the other indicators still look very positive. I probably bailed too soon, but there are lots of other fish in this ocean.
