CTXS. I bought shares of CTXS in December when it showed up on Zacks list of #1 stocks. At first it seemed like a good deal — the price reached $15 before it started on the slippery slope back down.
At the time, I had figured out the "buy" part of trading, but wasn't very clear about the "sell" part. As the price declined I kept thinking "it will turn around." When it was clear even to me that it wasn't turning around, I had already racked up a big loss. I gritted my teeth and held on.
Eventually it turned around in March, and when it got back up to $15, I sold, with a huge sigh of relief. I had gambled that it would come back, it had. Wasn't I the clever one?
Two days later, of course, CTXS broke out and is still climbing. (At this writing it is well over $20.)
If only I had waited....
Given what I know now, there were signs that the price would continue to rise, but I didn't know enough to recognize them at the time.
