Using StockCharts.com

Subscribers to StockCharts.com Extra! service can define their own stock scans. I have created two that sift out stocks that have had a recent crossover of the PPO and signal lines.

Bullish crossover

This scan identifies stocks that currently have a positive PPO histogram value of at least .3 and had a negative PPO histogram value two or three days ago

[type is stock] and 
[[exchange is Nasdaq] or [exchange is NYSE]] and 
[sma(20,volume) > 50000] and 
[Close  > 5.0] and [Close < 15.0] and   
[today's PPO Hist (12,26,9) > 0.3] and 
[[2 days ago PPO Hist (12,26,9) < 0.0] or
[3 days ago PPO Hist (12,26,9) < 0.0]]

Bearish crossover

This scan identifies stocks that now have a negativve PPO histogram value less than -.3 and had a positive PPO hisogram value two or three days ago.

[type is stock] and  
[[exchange is Nasdaq] or [exchange is NYSE]] and 
[sma(20,volume) > 50000] and 
[Close  > 5.0] and [Close < 15.0] and 
[PPO Hist (12,26,9) < -0.3] and 
[[2 days ago PPO Hist (12,26,9) > 0.0] or 
[3 days ago PPO Hist (12,26,9) > 0.0]]
