Bourbon sauce
Pour this over bread pudding, ice cream, or whatever. This sauce could make even a block of tofu taste good.
- 6 Tbsp butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup bourbon (Maker's Mark preferred)
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 Tbsp white corn syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla
Melt the butter in a medium saucepan. The sauce is going to foam up, so don't use too-small a pan.
Add all the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Boil for 1 minute. Serve warm.
Servings: depends on your sweet tooth
