Festival of Lights Parade 2009

6 December 2009. The city of Palm Springs puts on a Festival of Lights Parade every year on the first Saturday of December.

Light-minded organizations buy a gazillion batteries and strings of little light bulbs by the countless thousands and dress up almost anything that can walk or be driven or pulled the length of Palm Canyon Drive. There's something for everyone — marching bands, floats, singers, big-rig semis, little-rig semis, garbage trucks, RVs, fire trucks, horses, cars, and the crowd favorite, the dancing tractor.
