The new, new house
This time the chickens are hatched
15 June 2010. This is more like it! The offer I made Friday night was countered and accepted this morning. I am delighted on two counts: (1) I get a new house at a very nice price and (2) I get to tell BofA they just lost a deal.
When I made my first offer back in March, I was guilty of counting my chickens before they hatched — lots of folks, including moi, got all excited prematurely.
This time the chickens are hatched. Escrow is due to close at the end of July, so I anticipate moving the first week of August. In the meantime, here are some pics:

What you see when you open the front door — a view down a wide hallway, through the kitchen, and into the back yard
Looking back to the front door from the kitchen — QEII should have such a fine hallway in Buckingham Palace!
Kitchen
Great room — seen from kitchen; front hall is to the right, patio and backyard to the left
Backyard — needs some more desert plants to add color and lushness; planting beds are already in with irrigation and electricity
North side of the house — full-width covered/shaded patio; sliders on the right are the master bedroom, great-room and kitchen to the left
Master bedroom, from master bathroom — it's huge, slider to patio and backyard
Master bath and huge walk-in closet
Shower in master bathrooom; door on right is toilet, left is walk-in closet
Guest bedroom — "cozy" in realtor-speak
View from window of 3rd bedroom, which will be my office — Mt San Jacinto in the distance
