Jury summons

Oh, the irony!

21-Oct-05. Michael Jackson received a summons to report for jury duty in Santa Maria. His lawyer says he won't be able to fulfill his civic duty, however, because Bahrain is now his permanent residence.

Can't you just picture Michael Jackson sitting in a jury box?

He'd have to be in the back row, of course, or his umbrella would block the view of other jurors. And they'd have to make room for his retainer who holds the umbrella.

I wonder if pajamas would meet the dress code for jurors?

Reportedly, Michael is living in a palace in the desert, a guest of the royal family. This might not be a bad place for him. He might look quite handsome in arab costume!
